Emirates Electrical Engineering Strengthens Renewable Energy Leadership with High-Profile Solar Projects

Dubai, 29 August 2024

Emirates Electrical Engineering successfully completes rooftop solar power generation project (phase I) for DUBAL Extrusion Investment (DEI), a wholly owned subsidiary of DUBAL Holding (DH) at OSE Industries With a rated capacity of 633 kilowatts peak (kWp), the system is expected to generate 1.1 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of clean electricity per year, equivalent to reducing carbon emission of 750MT of Co2 per year.

Emirates Electrical Engineering (EEE), a member of the Al Rostamani Group and a leading player in the UAE’s power transmission and distribution (PT&D) industry, continues to expand its influence in the renewable energy sector with a growing portfolio of solar projects for prominent clients.

Phase I Success at OSE Industries

Following the successful implementation of the rooftop solar project for (DEI) at OSE Industries, EEE is now moving forward with Phase II, further reinforcing its role as a key driver of sustainable energy solutions across the UAE.

EEE successfully completed Phase I of the rooftop solar project for OSE Industries in July 2024, which is capable of generating 1.1 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of clean electricity annually, contributing to 12% of the facility’s energy needs and equivalent to a reduction of 750MT carbon emissions per year. With Phase II set for 2025, the solar capacity at the facility will be expanded to cover more buildings, further supporting the UAE’s Green Agenda 2030 goals.

Strong Portfolio of Clients

In addition to DEI, EEE has partnered with a wide range of private and public sector clients on solar projects, including Modern Bakery, Sigma Factory and healthcare giant Aster, with whom EEE initiated a renewable energy project in 2021. EEE is committed to enabling key sectors like healthcare, education and manufacturing to adopt sustainable energy solutions.

“Our partnerships with DEI, Aster, Modern Bakery, Sigma Factory, and other industry leaders highlight our deep expertise in delivering renewable energy solutions that meet our clients’ needs and contribute to the UAE’s sustainability goals,” said Prabash Manthara, General Manager of Emirates Electrical Engineering. “We are proud to play a pivotal role in advancing solar energy across the nation’s industrial and commercial sectors.”

A Strong Commitment to Renewable Energy

Since its establishment in 1977, Emirates Electrical Engineering has been at the forefront of building the UAE’s power infrastructure, with a long-standing focus on power transmission and distribution. In recent years, EEE has expanded its capabilities to include renewable energy, driving solar power initiatives and driving energy efficiency for clients across the industrial, healthcare, and governmental sectors. These projects align with UAE’s Green Agenda goals in 2030 and Net Zero 2050 strategy.

EEE’s solar power division together with the energy efficiency division has grown to be a significant contributor to its broader mission, helping to shape the future of the UAE’s energy landscape by offering cost-effective, environmentally friendly solutions.

“At EEE, we are driven by innovation and a commitment to excellence, powering a sustainable future through renewable energy generation, integrated energy services, energy control & Energy Storage remains our key focus areas for the future. Prabash Manthara added. “Our goal is to continue expanding our renewable energy efforts and provide our clients with sustainable solutions that meet their energy demands aligned to UAE’s vision for a greener future.”
